GC SUNS midfielder Dee Heslop will miss the remaining three games of the 2022 NAB AFLW Season after coming away with an ankle injury from the match against the Western Bulldogs.
SUNS AFLW physiotherapist Indianna Franke told the Qscan Injury Update Heslop had sustained a syndesmosis injury to her ankle which would rule her out for the remainder of the season.
“Unfortunately Dee has had a pretty serious ankle injury which will see her miss an extended period of time,” Franke said.
“We’ll consult with specialists over the next week before making a call on the best course of action for Dee’s rehabilitation.”
In positive news, midfield duo Ellie Hampson and Serene Watson, who missed the match against the Bulldogs, are both expected to be available again for Round 8 against St Kilda.
“Ellie was managed for the match against the Bulldogs but is available again for selection this week," Franke said.
“Serene also sustained a heavy knock to her quad also in the QClash and needed a week to recover from that but she will be available for selection again this weekend.”
