The Gold Coast SUNS will go into the Round 1 Toyota AFL Premiership Season with no injuries to come out of the AAMI Community Series game against Geelong.
Mabior Chol and Jeremy Sharp will both train fully in the build-up to the trip West after the club took no risks when they both experienced tight hamstrings.
“Both Mabior and Jeremy will be available to train fully this week after experiencing tightness in their hamstrings before and during the AAMI Community Series game against Geelong,” GC SUNS Head Physiotherapist Lindsay Bull told the Qscan Injury update.
Connor Budarick and Matthew Conroy will make their official returns from knee injuries suffered early in 2021 as the SUNS VFL side has its second practice game of the pre-season on Saturday.
“It’s good milestone for both Connor and Matthew as they continue their comeback from the knee injuries, they sustained last year.”
“They’ve applied themselves diligently to their rehab over the past 12 months and given themselves every opportunity to get back and play football in 2022.”
Sam Day will also be available for selection after overcoming a wrist injury suffered prior to Christmas.
