Gold Coast SUNS will welcome back 382 AFL games worth of experience into its team to face the Brisbane Lions in Saturday night’s Sir Doug Nicholls Round QClash at the Gabba.
After missing the last fortnight through injury, both Nick Holman and Ben Ainsworth have been named in Stuart Dew’s squad.
Levi Casboult has also been named to return to AFL action after opting to remain on the Gold Coast for the Round 9 clash in Perth for personal reasons.
Mabior Chol, Hewago Oea and last week’s substitute James Tsitas have been omitted from the side that defeated West Coast last Friday.
Former Lion Tom Berry is also listed as an out, but will be named as the SUNS substitute to face his former side.
Oea, Joel Jeffrey and Bodhi Uwland have been named as the emergencies.
The SUNS will be wearing its blue Indigenous Guernsey for the match on Yuggera & Toorabul land as the AFL celebrates Sir Doug Nicholls Round.
SUNS members are able to enter the Gabba on Saturday by scanning their tickets in the Official GC SUNS App.
Saturday night’s QClash gets underway at 7:30pm AEST and will be broadcast live on Fox Footy, Kayo and the Seven Network (check your local guide.
