It’s time to pick your Austworld Player of the Round as the SUNS made it four consecutive Top End wins with a 25-point win over Adelaide.
For the second straight week, Jack Lukosius equaled the record for the most goals in a game in Darwin with five majors. He was one of our multiple goal kickers for the SUNS alongside Ben King (three), Bailey Humphrey, Levi Casboult and Noah Anderson (all two each).
Anderson recorded 28 disposals - the most of any SUNS player on the ground - also recording eight clearances, a figure that was only bettered by midfield compatriot Matt Rowell who once again lit up the third term at TIO Stadium.
The side featured four players with connections to the Territory with three of those roaming the backline terrifically. Ben Long put the clamps on the dangerous Izak Rankine, Joel Jeffrey relished his new-found role in defence while Jy Farrar was a welcome addition to the starting 22 after being the sub last week. Only Lukosius had more than Malcolm Rosas Jnr’s eight score involvements.
Darcy Macpherson was strong running off halfback, as was Wil Powell while Nick Holman was at his contested best.
