SUNS fans it’s time to select your Austworld Player of the Round following Sunday evening’s 67-point win over Hawthorn.

In the first game at Heritage Bank Stadium in seven rounds it was Brayden Fiorini who took charge as the SUNS main ball winner. He had 35 disposals with 14 contested possessions, narrowly edging out Noah Anderson who took his game to another level in the second half, finishing with 28 disposals and two goals.

In his first AFL game in a number of months, Sam Flanders was immense on the inside finishing with 13 contested possessions for his 27 touches, while Ben Ainsworth also earned 27 touches playing further up the ground, also kicking a goal.

Malcolm Rosas Jnr lit up the Gold Coast night with three goals, including two late on to put some icing on the cake, while Jack Lukosius and Ben Kingprovided strong targets throughout the contest, all kicking two majors apiece.

Charlie Ballard continued his sparkling season taking an equal team-high eight intercept possessions, as did young defender Mac Andrew with one of his finest performances in SUNS colours.

Wil Powell showed flash and dash off half-back, frequently cutting off Hawks’ forays inside 50 as well while Jarrod Witts led by example in the ruck, finishing with 26 hitouts and a goal.
