A stellar season from Claudia Whitfort was fittingly capped off as the midfielder polled strongly at Monday night’s AFLW Best & Fairest count.
The 24-year-old finished equal-second in the count with a career-best 16 votes having polled in six games, including seven votes from a maximum nine in the final three rounds.
Incredibly, Whitfort was best afield on five occasions to lead the charge for the SUNS.
Jac Dupuy was adjudged best-on-ground in the Round 1 defeat against Carlton, Jamie Stanton’s six-goal display in Round 2 earned her three votes while All-Australian Charlie Rowbottom polled in four of her nine matches, including a three-vote performance in Round 8.
2023 debutants Niamh McLaughlin (4) and Darcie Davies (2) also earned the first votes of their careers.
