Carlton & United Breweries (CUB) has been a partner of the Gold Coast SUNS since the club’s inception, with the new deal set to extend the relationship between the two organisations into an 18th season. 

Queensland-brewed beer Power’s – a product of CUB – was officially relaunched in 2023 after being a staple in Queensland through the 1980’s and 90’s.

Power’s is now the tap and pack beer of choice at People First Stadium, and will remain that way for the next five seasons.

GC SUNS Chief Executive Mark Evans said the club was proud to extend its partnership with CUB long-term. 

“CUB have been a huge supporter of our club since the very beginning, so we’re delighted to extend this partnership through until 2028,” Evans said. 

“The iconic Power’s brand has been synonymous with Queensland sporting success, which we aim to produce on-field in 2024 and beyond. We’ll raise a glass of Power’s to the five-year partnership extension.”

Carlton & United Breweries Queensland State Manager Ian Giles said the organisation was thrilled to continue its support of the Gold Coast SUNS. 

“Power’s beer has taken off since we relaunched the Queensland icon last year and it is proudly staking its claim as the Beer of Queensland Sport,” Giles said.

“Power’s is brewed specifically for warm weather and modern tastes. It’s the perfect beer to enjoy while cheering on the SUNS at home!”

Through the partnership CUB have brought back the Power’s Pocket in 2024, an exclusive offering in high demand at People First Stadium.
