Gold Coast SUNS pair David Swallow and Sean Lemmens have been nominated for the 2014 Goal of the Year for their third quarter goals against the Brisbane Lions in QClash 7.
A series of slick handballs from Dion Prestia, Gary Ablett and Luke Russell saw Swallow gain possession of the football on the 50m mark in the right forward pocket.
Under pressure from the opposition, the former number one draft pick coolly slotted the goal from an incredibly tight angle to halt the Lions momentum and spark the GC SUNS' third quarter run.

Minutes later, Sean Lemmens earned himself the tag of the “Candy Man” in just his third AFL game.
Lemmens sold the ultimate dummy to Sam Mayes, danced around his Lions opponent and then banged home the first goal of his career from 40m out to the delight of his teammates and the 16,593 strong crowd at Metricon Stadium.
To win Goal of the Year, Swallow and Lemmens need the support from the fans with public voting to determine each weekly winner.
