Gold Coast’s three nominees for the AFL Players’ Association MVP award for the 2018 season have been revealed.
Midfielder David Swallow, ruckman Jarrod Witts and defender Jarrod Harbrow are in the running to win the award.
The first stage of the AFLPA MVP process involves players nominating three teammates for the award, before three nominees from every club are presented to the wider playing group for a vote to decide the winner.
In this second stage, players are not able to vote for nominees from their own club.
Draftee Charlie Ballard has been put forward for the Best First Year Player award, while Swallow has also been nominated for the Most Courageous award.
The voting process for these accolades is the same as for the MVP award.
The winners will be announced at the AFL Players’ MVP Awards in Melbourne on Thursday 30 August.
