  • Won the JJ Liston Trophy as joint best and fairest of the VFL this year.
  • Went on to play 61 games in his five years at the Tigers.

  • Nicknamed “Snipper”.
  • Is a practicing Christian.

  • Drafted to Richmond in 2014 with the 12th overall pick.

  • Was named as an emergency for Richmond’s 2017 Grand Final victory.
  • Played 27 games across his four seasons at the Tigers.
  • Averaged 22.2 disposals at 74% efficiency in the VFL in 2018 playing both on the wing and across half back. 

Interesting facts:

  • Ellis was born with an extra bone fragment on the outside of each foot which saw him require surgery in 2016.
  • Lived with Richmond teammate Nick Vlastuin in bayside Melbourne.
