Round one of the NEAFL season kicks off this weekend, with the SUNS to face the Giants in a curtain raiser prior to the senior game at Spotless Stadium.
Coming off wins in practice matches against Aspley and the Brisbane Lions, Gold Coast will be looking to continue their winning streak and put their best foot forward to start the season proper.
After a late call up to the AFL last week Josh Schoenfeld returns to the side to face the reigning NEAFL premiers. He’s joined by draftees Will Brodie and Jack Scrimshaw who will be looking to build their case for an AFL debut in the coming rounds.
Jarrod Harbrow and Trent McKenzie continue their comeback from injury while Brayden Fiorini, Jesse Lonergan and Brandon Matera will be eager to ensure their names are firmly in selection consideration next week.
