The Gold Coast SUNS are the proud recipient of the annual Community Award from the Domestic Violence Prevention Centre on the Gold Coast. 

The award recognises the ongoing commitment from the SUNS to being leaders of change and advocates for a safe and responsible community.

Supporting and driving awareness to issues such as Domestic and Family Violence is a cause close to the club, who have been actively involved in initiating meaningful change through their Horizons program since the club’s inception. 

To mark Domestic Violence Prevention Month (May each year) the SUNS have also donated to the Domestic Violence Prevention Centre to assist Gold Coasters in need, donated to Rize Up for their annual giving day and supported a family to settle into a new home after fleeing Domestic Violence.

Such activity is above and beyond the club’s ongoing support towards community issues such as Domestic and Family Violence.
