The Gold Coast SUNS reserves will welcome back two more listed players against Aspley at Metricon Stadium on Saturday.
Luke Russell was the travelling emergency in Perth last weekend and will be looking for a big performance against the Hornets as he continues to push his case for a senior recall.
Rookie and former SUNS Academy player Jesse Joyce also comes back into the side after missing the 18-point round one loss to the NT Thunder.
Last year’s runners up, Aspley, won their season opener against Southport by 10 points and will provide a big challenge for Steve Daniel’s men.
But the SUNS have talent on every line and it should be an enthralling curtain raiser before the senior game on Saturday night.
