Jaeger O’Meara will take another step forward in his return to football on Saturday afternoon, set to play a full game in the NEAFL against the top of the table Sydney Swans at Blacktown.

The 2013 Ron Evans medallist has gradually increased his playing time, registering a half against Southport two weeks ago before playing three quarters in the team’s two-point win over Brisbane last week.

This week, O’Meara is slated to play from start to finish and will also return to a more familiar role inside the centre square after playing off a wing the last two rounds.

There is also a trio returning from injury, with hard-nosed defender Sean Lemmens, first-year midfielder Brayden Fiorini and mature-aged rookie Tom Keough all named in Steve Daniel’s round 16 side. Fiorini hasn’t played since rupturing his lateral collateral ligament in round three of the NEAFL and the exciting youngster is a welcome inclusion.

With just 10 listed players, it won’t be an easy task for the SUNS at Blacktown International Sports Park, with the Swans having lost just one game for the season and coming off a huge 97-point win over Canberra in round 15.
