Touk Miller had added to his accolades resulting from a stellar performance in round 16 against Brisbane with a perfect 10 in the AFLCA votes.
The 20-year-old polled in the Coaches Player of the Year award for the first time this season after his 27-disposal, 11-tackle performance against the Lions, which also earned him the Marcus Ashcroft Medal for best afield.
Peter Wright and Jarrod Harbrow were pillars of consistency at either end of the field, each earning themselves five votes from the coaches. Wright has emerged as a force to be reckoned with up forward in recent weeks, booting five goals and taking 12 marks against the Lions. Harbrow had 27 touches at 81.5% efficiency and also plucked 12 marks to go with eight rebound 50s.
Dion Prestia (4 votes) and Jack Martin (4 votes) round out the SUNS players awarded votes from the weekend with Eric Hipwood the only Lion to register a vote.
Following each game of the 2016 season, coaches from both teams vote on who they believed to be most instrumental to the game. Each coach votes for five players, allocating a score form 1-5. The maximum a player can register for a single game is 10 votes.
