Aaron Young will join the Gold Coast SUNS after the club secured a trade with Port Adelaide.
The 24-year old has played 76 AFL games since being selected at pick 36 in the 2010 NAB AFL National Draft.
Port Adelaide receive a future fourth round pick, which Gold Coast received from Adelaide as part of the Wigg trade on Wednesday, as part of the deal.
SUNS List & Strategy Manager Scott Clayton said the 189cm (6'2") Victorian provided the club both midfield and forward versatility.
"Aaron is versatile, he can play midfield and as a genuine forward, where in 2016 he kicked 37 goals,” he said.
"He is a very good at winning one-on-one contests and he will value add to our group with outstanding leadership.
“Similar to Harrison Wigg, he also is seeking greater opportunity and we welcome him to our club.”
