Lachie Weller and Touk Miller have been named in the 40-man squad for the 22Under22 team of 2018.

The side is a completely fan-voted team which represents the best 22 players aged 22 or younger for the entire season.

Weller has been included as a defender in the squad while Miller will be up against some young stars of the competition for a place in the midfield.

Western Bulldogs star Marcus Bontempelli is in line for his fifth straight year of 22Under22 honours, while Zach Merrett (Essendon), Isaac Heeney (Sydney), Clayton Oliver (Melbourne), Jordan De Goey (Collingwood) and Charlie Curnow (Carlton) are other big names included in the squad.

Miller is enjoying a successful 2018 to date, averaging 22 disposals and five clearances without missing a game.

He ranks elite in the AFL for one percenters and rebound 50s amongst players in his position.

Weller has also had a fruitful season, ranking elite in inside 50s and total clearances for a half-back flanker.

The 22-year-old is ranked above average in disposals (19.5), tackles (2.6) and goals (0.2) in 2018.
