The Gold Coast SUNS AFLW side will go into Round 2 with no casualties from the opening round’s slog against GWS.
The match was played in torrential conditions but AFLW Head Physiotherapist Aaron Duffy told the Griffith University AFLW Injury Update there were no serious injuries out of the match.
“The squad’s pulled up really well after the game,” Duffy said.
“It’s just your general post-match soreness but nothing serious for us to be concerned about.
“All players will be available for Round 2 that played on the weekend.”
Inaugural signing Ellie Hampson is progressing in her recovery from an ankle injury, with Duffy stating the aim was for the 19-year-old to tick off the next steps in the coming weeks.
“Ellie’s doing really well in her rehab, she’s outside on the grass running and is involved in some light training drills with the squad,” Duffy said.
“The aim now is to introduce her into full training and that will happen in the not too distant future.”
