Three Gold Coast players have received coaches votes from the Round 3 QClash against Brisbane at Metricon Stadium.

Jamie Stanton was adjudged the best SUN afield with seven votes for her performance which included 15 disposals, four marks and three tackles.

Stanton’s effort pulls her into second place on the AFLW Champion Player of the Year leaderboard, eight votes behind Collingwood’s Jaimee Lambert.

Kalinda Howarth earnt six votes to go with her NAB AFLW Rising Star nomination, after kicking three of the team’s four goals to bring the SUNS back into the contest.

Midfielder Hannah Dunn rounded out the SUNS vote-getters with two for her 15 disposals, five marks and six tackles.

For Brisbane, QClash medallist Kate Lutkins received nine votes while Sophie Conway (three), Emily Bates (two) and Breanna Koenen (one) all polled.

The AFL Coaches Association AFLW Champion Player of the Year is an award voted by the AFLW senior coaches on a 5,4,3,2,1 basis after each game, acknowledging outstanding effort to an individual player in a season.
