The Gold Coast SUNS had one injury concern out of the Round 3 draw with Brisbane, after captain Leah Kaslar was taken from the field early in the fourth quarter.
SUNS AFLW Head Physiotherapist Aaron Duffy told the Griffith University AFLW Injury Update, Kaslar would be checked throughout the week, but he expected her to be available for Round 4 selection.
“Leah sustained an impact to her head early in the fourth quarter, she was removed from the field of play for concussion testing,” Duffy said.
“The doctor cleared her to return to play late in the fourth quarter, but she ran out of time.”
“We’ll continue to monitor her throughout the week and at this stage she will be available for Round 4.”
Kitara Whap-Farrar continues her rehabilitation from a knee injury with Duffy working closely with the young defender to increase her training loads.
“Kitara continues with her rehab; she’s doing some running on the grass and we’ll continue to progress her as she tolerates the load.
“At this stage we don’t have set date for her return, but we’ll assess her week to week.”
