Peter Wright has collected two votes in the NEAFL MVP Award for his efforts against Sydney on Saturday.

Despite going down to the experienced Swans side 15.17 (107) to 6.4. (40), Wright kicked the opening two goals of the match and finished with 22 disposals.

Wright has been showing consistent performances in the NEAFL as he regains his match fitness and will certainly put his hand up for senior selection this week.

The NEAFL MVP Award is presented to the player uniquely judged the best in the competition by a combination of umpire and coaches votes.

The votes are submitted post-game cast on a 5-4-3-2-1 basis. As such, the maximum amount of votes a single player can earn per match is 10 – courtesy of the maximum five votes from both umpires and coaches.
