The Gold Coast SUNS Academy program has been given a major boost with news Jack Bowes has been awarded an U15 All-Australian School Boys selection.

It’s a well-deserved honour for the Queensland prospect, after the exciting on-baller impressed with his bag of tricks at the National Championships in Darwin earlier this month.

GC SUNS Academy Manager & Head Coach – Jason Torney, told goldcoastfc.com.au it was a tremendous accolade for one of the Club’s long-term Academy players.

“Jack has been in the Academy for two years and first came to us as a 13-year-old junior,” he said.

“Since then he has participated in our U14 Academy Carnival and stood out as one of our better players, and also with Dalby in their U15 competition and was one of their best players so we know he performs at a high level.”

“It’s a great achievement for him.”

Bowes will travel alongside his All-Australian team mates to South Africa next year for an international AFL tour.
