GCFC Coach Guy Mc Kenna and Mothers Day Classic Organising Committee member Robyn Cameron took part in a media event promoting the GCFC’s support of the event and cause recently.
The Gold Coast Football Club will throw its support behind this year’s Mothers Day Classic Fun Run on Sunday, May 9 2010 by donating $10 of every $45 adult membership purchased on the day to breast cancer research.
The Mothers Day Classic, which attracts 90,000 participants nationwide, helps raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
With this year’s Gold Coast fun run expected to attract 4000 runners, Mothers Day Classic Organising Committee Member Robyn Cameron, said she was delighted by GCFC’s commitment.
“We’re overwhelmed by the club’s support in the lead up to the run,” she said.
Thirteen GCFC staffers including McKenna will run in the event – so keep an eye out for team GCFC when your out and about over the weekend.
