Nathan Krakouer Profile

Age: 22
From: Claremont (WAFL)/Port Adelaide Power
Games: 17 senior AFL games

Nathan Krakouer carries one of the most famous surnames in AFL history. His uncles, Jimmy and Phil, were two of the most extraordinarily gifted players ever to take the field, and his cousin, Andrew, showed glimpses of the same mercurial talent during a 102-game stint with the Richmond Tigers. Taken by the Power as a skinny but dazzlingly athletic kid at Pick 39 in the 2006 National Draft, Krakouer’s 2.83 second 20 metre sprint at that year’s draft camp still stands as one of the quickest of all time. After a disappointing 2010, one ruined by an early groin injury, Krakouer has been rehabilitating strongly and will be put through an intense pre-season to prepare him for 2011.
