Gold Coast Football Club’s Round 4 VFL game this Saturday against Casey Scorpions will be moved from Cooke Murphy Oval at Labrador to Fankhauser Reserve at Southport.
The move follows concerns about the suitability of Cooke Murphy Oval’s playing surface after failing to recover to an acceptable level for VFL football after recent heavy rain.
New details for the game are:
When: 2.00pm, Saturday, May 1, 2010.
Where: Fankhauser Reserve, Musgrave Avenue, Southport.
GCFC CEO Travis Auld said: “It is disappointing to have to shift venues at such late notice however it was unavoidable. The groundspeople at Cooke Murphy Oval are working hard to ensure the playing surface is brought up to VFL standard in time for our next scheduled match.”
All other game day activities originally scheduled to take place at Labrador will also be transferred to Southport.
All half time game participants and the parents involved will now be required to arrive at Fankhauser Reserve, Southport at 1.00pm.
