A new program that will benefit families on the Gold Coast, was launched last week by one of the Gold Coast SUNS 10 charities the club supports in the Community.

ACT for Kids, who focus their efforts in the prevention of child abuse (and fall under the clubs social responsibility pillar of Domestic Violence), officially launched their new (HOF) Helping Out Families program in front of 50 stakeholders, staff and media at the new centre at West Burleigh.

Minister for Child safety and Sport Phil Reeves officially opened the facility and launched the new program as part of the day.

Gold Coast SUNS CEO Travis Auld and Community Programs Manager Corey Bell were there to support the charity, on their special day as representative of the Gold Coast SUNS.

Auld said “Its great to be here today to support one of the Gold Coast SUNS nominated charities, ACT for Kids, on such a big day.”

“Anything that benefits families and assists in the awareness and prevention of Domestic Violence we fully support”.
