Gold Coast SUNS ruckmen Josh Fraser has been announced as the Female Football Ambassador for 2011, where as part of his role he will assist in promoting the game of AFL for girls and women to participate across Queensland.

And Fraser was straight into duties this week by taking Palm Beach and Carrara for a training session at Carrara Saint home ground on the Gold Coast.

Fraser said “Tonight was a great opportunity to take training and watch the players in action. I was really impressed with the standard and ability of the players for those who took part and I am looking forward to assisting in promoting the development of Female Football “.

In 2011, the Gold Coast SUNS will work closely with AFL Queensland to assist in developing Women’s Football which has seen an increase in interest and participation over the last few years.
