The Gold Coast SUNS will be without dangerous forward Tori Groves-Little in Round 9 after they entered the concussion protocols this week.
Groves-Little left the ground in the final quarter of the match against St Kilda on the weekend after receiving a knee to the back of the head in a marking contest.
They were subsequently ruled out for the remainder of the match and have entered the mandatory 12-day concussion protocol.
“Unfortunately Tori received a heavy knock to the head on the weekend which is their second concussion this season,” SUNS AFLW Physiotherapist Jasmine Herlihy told the Qscan AFLW Injury Update.
“Tori has a history of concussion so we will be extremely vigilant with their recovery as they tick off each stage of the concussion protocols.”
Jade Pregelj and Dee Heslop have both undergone surgery today for their respective knee (ACL) and ankle (syndesmosis) injuries.
The pair will begin their rehabilitation after recovering fully from surgery.
