Following advice from the Queensland Government, the club has been advised by the AFL that this Saturday’s Opening Round fixture has been postponed as South-East Queensland and Northern New South Wales prepares for Cyclone Alfred to make landfall.
The safety of our supporters, players and staff remains the number one priority.
At this stage, the fixture date and time is still to be confirmed by the AFL, as both clubs work with the league on an appropriate time for the match to be played at People First Stadium. The rescheduled match will not be played in Opening Round.
Although GC SUNS members won’t be able to cheer their side on at home this weekend, the safety of our local community is most important. We will communicate all details once the fixture has been rescheduled, and you will receive access to the game.
For those who have purchased and/or redeemed general ticketing for the Opening Round fixture, your tickets will still be valid for the rescheduled match and Ticketek will communicate any updates directly to you. If you do need to discuss your options around this fixture, please don’t hesitate to contact Ticketek via their channels.
For those who have purchased Premium Hospitality for the Opening Round fixture, your tickets will still be valid for the rescheduled match and the Gold Coast SUNS Hospitality team will work directly with you once the details of the game have been finalised.
