Players to vote on leaders
The Gold Coast SUNS will announce its 2012 Leadership at the Club’s season launch at Metricon Stadium on Saturday.
The Leadership Group will be presented to the fans following the team’s intra club match getting underway at 10:00am.
With the assistance of former Sydney Swans captain Brett Kirk, GC SUNS players have recently nominated themselves or a teammate for the leadership group.
The players will vote on the nominated leaders during the week prior to the leadership group being ratified by the football department and clubs board.
In 2011 the GC SUNS Leadership Group consisted of Gary Ablett, Nathan Bock, Campbell Brown, Michael Rischitelli, Zac Smith, Maverick Weller, retiree Daniel Harris and VFL Captain Marc Lock.

- The official 2012 Guernsey presentation for the entire playing squad will take place.

- Hear from the our Coach Guy McKenna and Skipper Gary Ablett.
- AFL Queensland will have loads of skills activities for the kids.
- Food and drinks will be available.
- Limited car parking available (enter via Alabaster Drive).
- Plenty of space to kick a footy and catch up with Sunny Ray.
