It’s the Round 22 edition of the Gold Coast SUNS weekly Club Champion countdown, as compiled by goldcoastfc.com.au, making the top 5 this week.

Dion Prestia was fantastic against St. Kilda at Etihad Stadium. The combative midfielder was superb around the centre square, collecting 26 disposals, five inside-50s and four clearances in the side’s 46-point loss to the Saints on Sunday afternoon.

Danny Stanley shined once again in his usual run-with role, producing one of his best games for the season – picking up 28 touches, 10 marks, six Rebounding-50s and three clearances whilst keeping Norm Smith Medallist Lenny Hayes to just 22 disposals.

It was a career afternoon for exciting young gun Timmy Sumner, kicking a team-high three goals to finish alongside Jaeger O’Meara and Charlie Dixon as the SUNS multiple goal-kickers for the Round 23 clash.

Steven May competed hard, and while 4-time All-Australian Nick Reiwoldt finished with 15 marks and 4 goals, the versatile swingman continues to emerge as a key piece to the SUNS future backline.

17 disposals, seven marks and a game-high 7 one-percenters, May still finished amongst the SUNS best on-ground performers.

And that wraps up another edition of the Gold Coast SUNS 2013 Club Championship countdown – exclusively on goldcoastfc.com.au.
