After recording their first win since round three, the Gold Coast SUNS have six players who have been awarded votes in the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year award for round 15.

The SUNS came our firing against the Saints to record a 40-point win, with standout performances across the board.

Dion Prestia polled nine votes for his round 15 performance that saw him end with 26 disposals at 88.5 per cent efficiency, three inside 50s and two goals.

Michael Rischitelli (eight votes) was also prolific in the midfield, registering a game-high 33 disposals (13 contested), four clearances, six rebound 50s and six tackles.

In his best game for the SUNS, Nick Malceski (five votes) collected 30 disposals, nine rebound 50s and gained 728 metres - the most of any player in round 15.

Aaron Hall (4 votes), Jarrod Harbrow (2 votes) and Steven May (2 votes) round out the voting list.

Following each game of the 2016 season, coaches from both teams vote on who they believed to be most instrumental to the game. Each coach votes for five players, allocating a score form 1-5. The maximum a player can register for a single game is 10 votes.
