Gold Coast’s Alex Sexton has earned two votes in the AFL Coaches Association Champion Player of the Year Award for Round 20.

The forward bagged five goals, a career-high, from his 10 disposals and is now the SUNS’ leading goalkicker this season.

Melbourne midfielder Clayton Oliver was adjudged best on ground, receiving ten votes in a game where he gathered 31 touches and kicked two goals.

The competition overall is led by Hawthorn ball-magnet Tom Mitchell, who has edged ahead of Melbourne ruckman Max Gawn.
