Southport Sharks junior Emmie Chudley and Palm Beach Currumbin's Grace Dalton spent the day rubbing shoulders with their AFLW idols at the Austworld Cente on Tuesday, immersing themselves in the club’s AFLW program for a day.

The two SUNS Academy members had the opportunity to sit in on team meetings ahead of Tuesday’s main session as the SUNS enter Week 4 of its pre-season program, before joining with the squad for training, lunch and additional meetings in the afternoon.

GC SUNS Head of Women’s Football Fiona Sessarago says it was a great opportunity for all involved.

“It’s a fantastic initiative between our AFLW and Academy programs for Emmie and Grace to experience a day as an AFLW player.

“It’s also a great opportunity for our AFLW players to provide some guidance to young girls who are striving to perhaps be a teammate in years to come.”
