It’s not every day that towering SUNS ruck Jarrod Witts reaches new heights, but he will break an unsurpassed mark when he leads the side out at Marvel Stadium on Saturday night.

Having captained the club since 2018, the Round 22 clash marks Witts’ 179th career game and 100th as club captain.

The 31-year-old earlier this season eclipsed Gary Ablett Jnr’s previous record, which stood at 96 matches as skipper between 2011 and 2016.

Current co-captain Touk Miller currently sits in fourth place (52 games as captain) behind Witts, Ablett Jnr & SUNS games record holder David Swallow (60 games as captain).

The SUNS will be looking to mark the occasion in style, chasing a second win of the season over the Bombers.
