VFL Head Coach Tate Kaesler has named a balanced side of youth and experience for Saturday’s crucial clash against Essendon at Windy Hill.
A win for the SUNS would all but secure its place in a wildcard match-up at minimum and set-up a tantalising final round with a top four berth still on the cards.
Fourteen AFL-listed players are in the side, including Joel Jeffrey, Brayden Fiorini and Malcolm Rosas Jnr who return to the VFL from AFL duties last weekend.
The SUNS have won its past two games, as well as the previous meeting against the Bombers earlier this season. Gold Coast leads the head-to-head ledger 2-1.
