There were a number of promising AFL Fantasy scores from the tight loss in Round 19 to Essendon at Metricon Stadium.
SUNS Media have taken a look at some of the standouts ahead of Round 20.
Jarrod Witts (RUC - $702,000)
The SUNS big man just keeps getting it done. Witts had 60 hitouts on the weekend – an equal season-high. What was more impressive this time was his ability to follow up at ground level with 19 disposals and compile a huge score of 126, another equal season-high.
Witts is now averaging 102.2 for the season and has lifted his average in his last five games to 109.6. His ownership is growing slightly and now sits at 8%. This week he’ll face his old club Collingwood and former teammate Brodie Grundy. Grundy is the highest averaging ruck in the competition at the moment, but that could be cancelled out by Witts’ height advantage and dominance at stoppages. Witts historically averages 92 against the Pies.
Touk Miller (MID - $596,000)
It’s back to back outstanding games for Miller now from an AFL Fantasy perspective, with the midfielder backing up his 143 against Carlton with 119 on the weekend. His score consisted of 32 disposals, four tackles, four marks and a goal.
Miller is in hot form at the moment, with a three game average of 117.3. Coming up against the Pies this weekend, Miller averages 93 against that opponent. Heading into the final few weeks of the season, Miller could be an interesting unique selection with just 1% ownership at the moment. This week might be the last chance to grab him at a bargain, with the midfielder projected to increase by $32k this week with a current breakeven of 35.
