Following the thrilling victory against Fremantle in Round 2, SUNS Media have taken a look at Gold Coast’s top AFL Fantasy performances.
David Swallow (MID - $619,000)
In a game in which he kicked the match-winning goal, the skipper also lead the SUNS from a Fantasy perspective. His 118 points came about courtesy of a rounded performance with 30 disposals, five marks and five tackles along with a solitary goal. Swallow’s Fantasy output in Round 1 was hampered by a knee injury but he bounced back in fine fashion against the Dockers.
Jack Martin (MID/FWD - $613,000)
With only 1% ownership, Martin may have made a big difference for Fantasy Coaches in their Classic league matchups with his 112 point haul. Spending most of his time in midfield, Martin had 24 disposals – 18 of which were kicks - and nine marks. If not for some wayward goal kicking (1 goal, 3 behinds), his score could have been even more impressive. He isn’t a traditional ball magnet, however SUNS Senior Coach Stuart Dew has made note of Martin’s increased midfield times which could see his Fantasy output increased. His ability to be selected in your forward line or midfield adds to his appeal.
Jarrod Harbrow (DEF - $567,000)
Harbrow was arguably the SUNS’ best on ground against Fremantle and his 105 Fantasy points mirrored his impact on the game. He found plenty of the footy, with 19 kicks and 13 handballs, and used it well going forward. The defender boosted his score with nine marks, as he played a key part in nullifying the Dockers’ forward forays.
