SUNS co-captain Jarrod Witts has escaped injury and is expected to be fit to line up for his 100th game this weekend.
Witts was seen leaving the field late in the match against Collingwood after injuring his knee, but SUNS Head Physiotherapist Lindsay Bull told the Alpha Sport Injury Update it wasn’t a serious concern.
“Jarrod came off at the end of the game after suffering a knock to the front of his knee,” Bull said.
“It momentarily incapacitated him and he was quite sore after the game but over the last couple of days he’s improved quite well.
“We expect him to be involved in training on Thursday and then be available for selection on the weekend as well.”
In positive news, Aaron Young is expected to be available again after successfully completing rehab on his troublesome knee.
“Aaron’s done really well with this latest injury to his knee,” Bull said.
“He’s progressed into training the last couple of weeks and will train again on Thursday.
“He should be ready to go this weekend for selection as well so he’s done really well through his rehab.”
