Gold Coast SUNS youngster Matt Shaw has been nominated for the Origin AFL Goal of the Year for his impressive goal against West Coast on Saturday.
Shaw laid a tackle and simultaneously cleanly stripped his West Coast opponent of the ball. He then took off towards goal and took three bounces, before steadying and kicking a fantastic running goal.

Skipper Gary Ablett
Gold Coast star Gary Ablett has been nominated for the Origin AFL Goal of the Year for his skilful goal against West Coast at Patersons Stadium on Saturday.
Ablett received a quick-fire handball from a teammate and immediately tried to square his hips towards the goals. Without much time to think, he transferred his balance and bent the ball back through the goals from the pocket.
