The best AFL School talent in Queensland competed in the State Finals of the Tribal Sport AFL Queensland Schools Cup held on Sunday at Maroochydore Multisports Complex.
Gold Coast schools were dominant in all six divisions, claiming every title across the Primary Male, Primary Female, Junior Male, Junior Female, Senior Male and Senior Female competitions.
Amongst the winners were Gaven State School, Varsity College, Helensvale State High School, Park Ridge State High School, Palm Beach Currumbin High School and Miami State High School.
Ashton Crossley, brother of Brayden, was named best on ground in Palm Beach’s Senior Male Division win.
North Queensland and other Gold Coast schools also found success in a number of Minor Play Off games, with Cairns State High School, Ryan Catholic College and Southport State High School winning their games.
The Tribal Sport AFLQSCup is Queensland's premier state-wide interschool competition and provides equitable pathways to participate for both boys and girls from Grades 4 through 12.
Held across Friday and Sunday at the Maroochydore Multisports Complex, 11,509 students competed across 578 teams, from 249 schools from Queensland and NSW Northern Rivers.
The Gold Coast SUNS would like to congratulate all Gold Coast, North Queensland and Northern Rivers schools who competed in the competition.
