Following the successful return of proven performers Trent McKenzie and Michael Rischitelli, Guy McKenna’s senior 22 could be bolstered yet again with Brandon Matera and Kade Kolodjashnij back in the frame for selection.

With each of the four remaining home and away contests crucial to ensuring September action, McKenna will be keen to field his strongest possible line-up on Saturday afternoon against Carlton at Etihad Stadium.

Livewire Matera made his return to football in the NEAFL last weekend, collecting 26 disposals on his way to being named amongst the best players on the field. Given he has kicked 22 goals in 12 senior matches in 2014 so far (including seven in two matches at Etihad Stadium), Matera would be a more-than-handy inclusion for the GC SUNS.

Kolodjashnij injured his hamstring in round 17 against the Western Bulldogs but provides valuable rebound off half-back for Gold Coast. The 18-year-old rookie will likely make his return to football this weekend; the question is whether it is via the reserves or the senior team.

Meanwhile, defender Seb Tape also made his return to football via the NEAFL last weekend after being sidelined for seven weeks. Tape was named in the best players along with hard-running midfielder Jeremy Taylor and consistent veteran Tom Murphy. Defenders Jackson Allen, Clay Cameron and Matthew Warnock also performed solidly in the heavy loss to Aspley.

Who do you think should come into the team in Round 20?
