Gold Coast midfielder David Swallow’s performance against Adelaide has earned him a spot on the interchange bench in AFL.com.au’s Team of the Week for round six.
Swallow was the SUNS’ best on Saturday night, gathering 32 touches and laying four tackles.
The 25-year-old, who has evolved his game to be more damaging on the outside of the contest, had 22 uncontested possessions.
He was able to make an impact when going forward too, kicking three goals.
The midfielder’s perfornance earnt plenty of praise from senior coach Stuart Dew, who said Swallow was “carrying the whole team on his back” in a first half dominated by the Crows at Adelaide Oval on Saturday night.
