Cam O’Shea will make his Carlton debut against Gold Coast on Saturday after he was named at half-back.
The mature age recruit joined the Blues during the off-season and is one of two changes to their side.
David Cunningham is the other inclusion for Carlton and has been named on the interchange bench.
Youngsters Jack Silvagni (omitted) and Matthew Kennedy (ankle) have both come out of the team.
