Gary Ablett has continued his strong return from shoulder surgery, moving well at Gold Coast training on Monday morning.

Ablett was still wearing the orange cap - for players that can't be tackled - but took part in a number of drills and showed how well the shoulder was progressing with an overhead mark at full pace.

Although relinquishing the captaincy last week, Ablett was still very active with his leadership, pulling aside No.4 draft pick Ben Ainsworth for a chat, and was clearly audible from the boundary line with his instructions to other players.

Former Fremantle midfielder Michael Barlow trained strongly but was visibly fatigued by the end of the session with the heat and high humidity, while David Swallow - who missed all of last year with ongoing PCL problems – put another full session behind him.
