Darcy Macpherson will play no further part in Gold Coast's round 9 clash against Adelaide at Metricon Stadium.

Macpherson required immediate medical assistance and was taken from the ground during the second quarter with a medial ligament injury to his knee.

Macpherson will undergo scans early next week and the club will provide a further update once the full extent of the injury has been determined.
