In the coming weeks, the Gold Coast SUNS match committee looks set to face some selection headaches with a raft of players coming back from injury through the club’s reserves.
Darcy Macpherson made his first appearance since suffering a knee injury in round nine against Adelaide while Adam Saad also played his first game in over two months after ongoing battles with a troublesome hamstring.

“To get players like Adam Saad coming back, Darcy Macpherson, the list goes on which is tremendous,” assistant coach Ashley Prescott told reporters at Metricon Stadium on Monday.
“Hopefully that can give us some good selection issues and dilemmas for the last month of the season.”
In addition to the return of Macpherson and Saad, Brayden Fiorini had an outstanding second game back from a ruptured lateral collateral ligament, gathering 31 disposals and booting four goals.
Sean Lemmens also had his second game back in the reserves after injury while there are also players in form including Clay Cameron who booted 5.4 and played one of his best games in the red and gold.

“Brayden’s come back in really good condition after his knee injury, I think 30 touches and four goals,” Prescott said.
“Clay Cameron the boys were saying it’s probably the best game they’ve seen him play so again that’s fantastic for the club.”
