Despite fielding a much more competitive line-up than in previous weeks, the Gold Coast SUNS reserves were no match for a powerful Sydney team in horrific conditions on Saturday afternoon at Metricon Stadium.
In torrential rain, the SUNS were never in the game, going down by 86 points to the ladder-leading Swans who featured 18 listed players on the day.
Captain Jamason Daniels booted two goals for the SUNS while defender Trent McKenzie had 24 disposals to mark a successful return from injury.
Mitch Hallahan and Rory Thompson also got through the game unscathed in their first games back from long-term injuries.
