The Gold Coast SUNS will be forced to make at least two changes to the team that faces Essendon at Etihad Stadium, with Tom Nicholls (knee) and Alex Sexton (corked quad) ruled out due to injury.

Adam Saad is available for senior selection after playing two games in the reserves, while Aaron Hall has recovered from a hamstring strain and will also be considered for senior selection.

Dan Currie has missed a lot of footy in recent months with two separate broken fingers, however has received medical clearance to play this weekend and is the obvious choice to replace Nicholls. The question mark is around Currie’s match conditioning, with Keegan Brooksby the other option to step in to the ruck role.

Brooksby has been in impressive form in the reserves and despite standing at just 197cm, the South Australia’s competitiveness and athleticism holds him in good stead at the top level.

Brayden Fiorini
and Seb Tape were also listed amongst the best in the reserves last weekend, while Clay Cameron may also come into the equation.
