Gold Coast midfielder Aaron Hall will not play in the SUNS round 12 clash against Richmond at the MCG on Sunday, with coach Rodney Eade confirming on United Coaches Chat the Tasmanian has been omitted from the side.
The 25-year-old will instead travel with the NEAFL team to play Sydney University at Henson Park in Sydney on Sunday afternoon.
Hall had been in scintillating form in the early stages of the season, averaging 33.2 disposals across the first five rounds but has failed to reached those heights since.
“His form’s dropped off a bit the last few weeks, but there’s also a few things, part of his game that need correction that he’s dropped away in that he had earlier in the year,” Eade said.
“We’ve spoken to Aaron about that so we just felt for his confidence and for us that he needs to go back and rediscover that and just get the basics right.
“I’m certain he’ll be back. He’s too good of a player to be out for too long and I’m certain he’ll be back in very soon.”
2015 No. 8 draft pick Callum Ah Chee will also miss the game at the MCG after injuring his calf at training on Thursday but in positive news, talls Sam Day and Rory Thompson are both set to return.
